Dr. Abdul (Leo) Zalikha

Dr. Zalikha is expected to join our practice in November 2025. An official start date will be announced soon.

Dr. Zalikha specializes in the surgical and nonsurgical management of complex musculoskeletal conditions, with a particular focus on joint replacement,fracture surgery, and advanced reconstructive techniques. His clinical expertise includes surgery for broken bones, total hip and total knee replacement, robotic-assisted surgery, direct anterior hip replacement, periprosthetic fracture surgery, and complex revision procedures for prosthetic joint infection, instability, and other challenging cases.

He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florida and earned his MD from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine on a full tuition scholarship, having scored in the 100th percentile on the Medical College Admission Test. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University, where he trained extensively in high-volume trauma, complex fractures, and penetrating injuries. He then completed fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction at Stanford Medicine, where he served as Clinical Instructor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and gained extensive experience in applying advanced techniques for primary and revision joint replacement on some of the most complex cases in the country.

Dr. Zalikha has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and remains actively involved in clinical research aimed at improving surgical outcomes. His practice emphasizes evidence-based care, cutting-edge surgical techniques, and personalized treatment plans to help patients regain mobility and quality of life.
