After years of seeing other doctors and getting epidural injections, nerve ablations, acupuncture and pills for back pain, which only helped temporarily, I decided to see Dr Yuan after he was recommended by a friend. He recommended some physical therapy to start, and what a difference that has made!! Pain level has dropped, and I am able to manage it on my own with the exercises and stretches I have learned. Not sure why this was never recommended before! Thank you, Dr. Yuan!

This ttoral hip replacement was my first ever surgery. The staff and Dr.’s ovetseeing my care made me feel secure and safe. My pre surgery strengthening as suggested has shortened my recovery by 4 weeks as it seems my range of motion has been documented at 6 weeks rather than 10 weeks. Do the pre op work and Dr. Tsai will match in robotic assistance joint replacement.

He was very courteous and processional during and after my knee replacement surgery. VERY detailed in the surgery procedure. I had this performed on 4/6/23 and after following his post-surgery instructions chart along with physical therapy my knee is like NEW and the incision is hardly noticeable. No pain at all and back to normal! His assistant, Clara, was also excellent when we arrived for pre and post operation visits. I would recommend Dr. Kurzweil for anyone with knee concerns because of his vast knowledge and operational procedures. It turned out excellent! Five STAR+ rating!!!

Dr Warden explained the results of the MRI which I had on Monday. It showed no break, but a rotator cuff tear. He explained the options to me – surgery or PT and due to my age (soon to be 85) he recommended PT as the best option. He gave me some exercises to do at home before I have my PT appointment. I only wish I had written them down as I do have a hard time remembering some things, at this point in my life!

I am a healthy 80 year old & i am still skiing black diamonds, thanks to Dr. Juan. Several years ago I had discomfort & numbing in my left arm & hand. Dr. Yuan performed a cervical discectomy & fusion which provided & very successful outcome. He advised me then that I also had degenerative arthritis in my lower spine but he said that he simply wanted to monitor it since i had no discomfort & that surgery is always his last resort. Last September I suffered a severe sciatic nerve issue, triggered by an event. I could not sit for more than 5 minutes. The pain was becoming intolerable. Dr. Yuan “pulled out all the stops” after his evaluation & had me in surgery within a couple of days. He performed a laminectomy & a lower spinal fusion which provided an immediate remedy and a rapid recovery. I feel that he is an excellent surgeon and every Doctor & Nurse i spoke to in the hospital gave him praise.

My mother had 2 failed back surgeries within 4 months. Then we were told about Dr Bhalla. He was honest and refused to do surgery on her until her health improved. 7 months later my mom ended up in the hospital now her health is better. Dr Bhalla along with his team conducted the surgery on April 10th. Mind you my mom is 78 the following day my mom had minimal discomfort and able to walk. I think he made a miracle with my mother. Never thought I would be seeing my mom walking with ease especially after others had given up on her. If you are looking for a surgeon who is going to be honest, caring and keep you informed with you or your family he is the best.

As a patient of Memorial Orthopaedic for the last four years, I was referred to Dr. Tsai after spine surgery as I was having problems with my hip. I have been under Dr. Amandeep Bhalla’s care for about 2.5 years. When I started seeing him I was in a lot of pain. I was previously seen by another doctor who informed me that my back pain could not be alleviated. I was referred to Dr. Bhalla who assured me that, over time, he would alleviate my back pain. So, we went on a journey of discovery in order for him to pinpoint the problem. He started conservatively with Transforaminal epidural corticosteroid fluoroscopy injections from L4 through S1. This was followed up with Sciatic Joint Fusion, and the last procedure Lumbar Laminectomy L3-L5, instrumented fusion L4-L5, fluoroscopy, autograft, allograft. I was humbled to see him in my hospital room at 6:45 am the day after he performed this procedure. His first question was, “Have I alleviated your pain?” and praise God he had! The nagging pain I had for years was gone! Dr. Bhalla took time to explain each procedure he was performing. He answered any questions I had and he took time to allay my fears relative to having rods and screws supporting my spine. Dr. Bhalla is the most conscientious, caring and friendly medical professional that I have had the pleasure of knowing. Last, I would be remiss to not mention his Nurse “Ronnie”, she is the bright light at any appointment. Always greeting me with a smile and a hug (post pandemic). They are a dynamic duo and I am so very grateful to be a patient of Dr. Amandeep Bhalla.

I was seen in the office , for my 8&10 month post op( spinal fusion, and fracture repair. We, very briefly went over my epidural results,as well. He, checked my surgical sites , gait, forward ( reaching towards floor, and back wards bend. Dr. Yuan’s evaluation and suggestions for my orthopedic issue were helpful, once I saw him. However, dealing with the appointment desk the previous day could not have been more frustrating. Constant transfers between that extension and the nurse’s extension included the line ringing, unanswered, on multiple calls, for a ridiculously long time; constant transfers to and from the nursing extension that, at one point, disconnected me completely, forcing me to start the whole process again; and the initial failure to inform me about who was responsible for the referral process (from my PCP to Dr. Yuan) until a later phone call, when I should have been informed earlier so the necessary step in the process could have been initiated earlier. I had already waited a couple of weeks for my orthopedic issue to resolve itself through rest, heat, etc., so when I decided to seek professional help, the disorganization of the appointment process was especially unhelpful.

I have been a life long hiker and backpacker. Over the prior 18 months I had developed an intense pain in my hip during any walking activity. This had gotten worse so that I could barely walk to the end of the block. I contacted Memorial Orthopedic Surgical Group and initially saw a hip specialist. After his exam, he said my pain was not caused by the hip joint, likely caused from a nerve problem in the spine and ordered a MRI, and follow up with Dr. Bhalla. In meeting with Dr. Bhalla he reviewed the MRI results with me in detail, explaining my condition as degenerative anterolisthesis, and stenosis. He explained the options for treatment very thoroughly, and answered my questions. I first tried an epidural injection, but this did not result in any relief. I again met with Dr. Bhalla, and discussed my condition and the surgical option. He took the time to discuss the details of the surgery, and answer all my questions. I then had a Lumbar Laminectomy with robotic assisted instrumentation and fusion at L4-L5. The experience at Memorial Hospital was excellent. As soon as I woke up, the pain in my hip was gone. Follow up visits with Dr. Bhalla and home exercises completed my recovery. I was hiking moderate trails within 2-3 months, and backpacking again 6 months after surgery when the fusion was substantially complete. Dr. Bhalla, the staff at his office and at the hospital were very good to me throughout the diagnosis, surgery and recovery process.

I had a great experience with Dr. Yuan and his assistant. They were very attentive, thorough, and friendly. I was able to have an x-ray in office and discuss the results immediately. He prescribed physical therapy and was able to make recommendations for improving my pain. The parking lot and building are a little confusing to maneuver. If you have limited mobility due to injury, the entrance is in the back. Paid parking is near that entrance. I parked far away and walked. I had difficulty finding the entrance as it is not on the street. Once inside, everything went smoothly and my appointment was on time!

I had a very good outcome with a minimum amount of pain. The operation was performed in the early A.M. and I was home by 4:00 P.M. the same day. I started self P.T. at home for two weeks and then transitioned to out patient P.T. for 8 sessions. I’m 78 and was able to walk with out a cane in about 10 days. I went to see Dr. Yuan with 10+ neck pain going down my arm to my fingertips. I thought that I would have to have surgery. Dr. Yuan sent me to get a series of 3 epidurals in my neck and to physical therapy. I went in to Dr. Yuan with bad sciatica and an MRI showed a growth in my spinal column. Dr. Yuan did a laminectomy and removed a large cyst. Started off with Dr. Yuan with our son who had a back injury from a bike accident. Very happy with results. Then, a few years later, I had a major neck problem that need surgery. After I completed new patient forms, it was a very short wait of several minutes before being called for x-rays. I barely sat down again and was called to the exam room. Friendly, professional staff, plus Dr. Bhalla is super-nice and well-qualified… They are flexible with making appointments and they try to make it work with the patient’s schedule. What’s not to like??! 🙂 I was afraid I had herniated a disc or something else really bad, while foolishly bending and reaching down. A sharp, sudden pain at that time made it difficult for me to move at all for several days. I can walk okay now, but have trouble with sitting and standing, suffering with this for weeks before deciding to see a specialist. I was relieved when Dr. Bhalla told me my back pain was due to muscle injury, not the spine. Overall, going to this office was a smart choice, a really nice experience, and I highly recommend this group. If I wanted to get picky, the only downside would be the pay parking ($4), although I was lucky to find a spot on the street. I will go to their clinic for physical therapy. This medical group is a great find!

Dr. Kurzweil is a wry good doctor. My knee feel better and I’m only 5 days out of surgery. My only complaint would be his staff didn’t seem to care that I had an allergic reaction to my pain meds. I was itching in recovery, in my room and when I got home. I was told I could take the pain meds and live with the itching or don’t take the pain meds live with the pain and have no itching. That wasn’t acceptable. I also was instructed to contact my primary doctor to see if he could help. Which I did and thankfully he prescribed something that didn’t make me itch. I still have some pain as the meds aren’t as strong. I am planning on having Dr. Kurzweil do my left knee next year however I will at least know what I can and cannot take.

Great bedside manner. He is not in a rush to do surgeries. His Karla is outstanding. She has been with him for 25 years and assists him in the operating room. They make a great pair like Batman & Robbin.

I was very nervous about getting an injection in my shoulder. Several of my friends had painful experiences. Before I knew it, Dr Pahl had injected my shoulder and I felt no pain. My shoulder impingement is doing well and I am so happy to have him as my doctor.

Dr. Bhalla explored a very scary surgery recommendation and explained to me using my existing MRI how he would perform a much less invasive procedure. We carve tomorrow morning; instead of fear, I am excited to have the operation. I understand exactly what’s going to be done and am feeling a confidence I did not think possible.

Such a great experience! I traveled 7 hours round trip because of the good things I’ve heard, and it was definitely worth it! Dr. Lee was a great doctor and Rebecca did such an amazing job with my cast! My broken ankle healed very well, and everyone there treated me with such kindness! Wonderful practice with wonderful people!

Dr. Amandeep Bhalla is an exceptional, highly trained surgeon. Dr. Bhalla exudes professionalism, as well as showing courtesy and respect for his patients/ families. Each visit Dr. Bhalla is timely and routinely uses a hand sanitizer and offers the patients the hand sanitizer too. He never rushes the office visit and explains in detail what to expect surgically both pre and post operatively. I am fortunate to have had Dr. Bhalla perform my laminectomy/fusion. I am recovering quickly and thank him for his surgical expertise.

Dr. Pahl is a wonderful doctor. He started as my husband’s doctor but after Michael had his shoulder surgery and seeing the quick and great results, I also started seeing him. After Michael’s surgery and while I was waiting for the update, I happened to talk to another one of Dr. Pahl’s patients who told me how good her husband felt after he had Dr. Pahl operate on him. No complications and immediate results are wonderful!

The office worked me in for a pre-op evaluation. Had to wait a little long but once I got in everything ran smooth. Great staff and Dr. Yuan evaluated my condition and answered all my questions.

I can’t thank Dr. Warden and his staff, especially Anthony, PA-C, and Nurse Caroline, enough for all the care they have given me during the long ordeal of a knee replacement that was made very difficult with a staph infection. Dr. Lee was very friendly, professional and efficient. You can tell right off the bat that he cares about his patients and loves what he does. I went in for a minor/moderately sprained ankle and the care I received was excellent. Dr. Lee made sure I understood the aftercare of my ankle and explained what type of motions would be beneficial to help with recovery. He suggested I wear a brace just in case– I am so glad that I did. My recovery time was about 3 weeks. His medical assistant Rebecca was also amazing. She is so kind and made sure I knew how to correctly put on the brace, and repeated the aftercare instructions to confirm if I had any questions. She even said I could call her anytime if i had any questions. I was extremely happy with my visit and will always recommend Dr. Lee and his team to others. Thank you guys!

Dr. Bhalla has great bedside manners and was very thorough during my visit for my spine. He patiently listened to my problems and told me exactly what I needed to do to get better.
